A bit of background...

A life-long wanderer, Katie received her first passport when she was 5 and her family moved to Italy. Since then, travel has been in her blood. She's traveled to all seven continents, meeting interesting people and sampling local beers (except in Antarctica--local beer is sadly sparse in Antarctica). 

Her writing started early, too. She wrote poetry and fiction in high school and college, had a few pieces published, and started writing for various publications when she moved to Colorado. Concurrently, she was working full-time as a public relations professional, learning about the other side of media.

She started writing about her adventures on a blog, which expanded into freelance work, covering music events, health and wellness, travel, outdoor adventure and craft beer and spirits.

"I count myself lucky," Katie said. "I get to share stories for a living."

Katie lives in Eagle County, Colorado.
